EQ Sports Development Funding Program 2013

Round 1

 OPEN - Round 1 applications close 8 April 2013

 The Equestrian Queensland Sport Development Funding program provides funds to respective affiliated organisations and Equestrian Queensland Sub-committees to support organisational and participation development in Dressage, Eventing and Jumping. Applications will be based on the merit, with the aim of increasing participation, membership and bettering the sport of Equestrian.

There are two rounds of funding:

  • Round 1 includes activities run from 1 January - 30 June 2013
  • Round 2 includes activities run from 1 July - 2 December 2013

Sport and Recreation Disaster Recovery Program

The Sport and Recreation Disaster Recovery Program supports not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations with relief efforts to re-establish their facilities and activities following natural disasters. The program provides funding of up to $25,000 for eligible organisations in relation to damage caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald and associated rainfall and flooding.

 Gambling Community Benefit Fund
Up to $35,000 to non-for profit     organisations to help them provide community services or activities that benefit the community.
 
QLD Events Regional Development Program
Two funding rounds per year provide grants to event organisers to support the growth and development of events in regional Queensland.
 
QLD Department of Local Government and Planning Show Society Grant
To assist recognised show societies in Queensland to conduct annual shows.
 
QLD Department of Sport and Rec Funding Programs
Various funding opportunities for various programs- e.g. Actrive Inclusion, Equipment Program, Infrastructure Program & Young Athlete Assistance Program
 
QLD Community Partnerships Grants Program
To support the development and delivery of healthy lifestyle programs at the local level.
 
Australian Government Volunteer Grants
Funding is available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations to assist their volunteers and encourage volunteering.
Volunteering North Queensland

Young Athletes Assistance Program

This Program assists young athletes in Queensland who have competed at a State or State School Championship, National or National School Championship or International Championship.

The International Competition and Development Fund Supports projects and events that either clearly fall into the “international competition” category or can be demonstrated to further the “development” of the sport in general or a particular discipline. “Development” predominantly denotes workshops and seminars for the training of judges and officials, and other activities carried out for the development of competencies, including opportunities for skill practice (competitions and events). The ICDF policy and the application procedure are included in the application forms, which can be downloaded (see below).
Applications for funding must be made by Monday 7th May for events/projects taking place during the financial year (1 July 2012- 30 June 2013)

Local Sporting Champions

The Local Sporting Champions program is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for young people aged 12-18 towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state, national or international sporting championships or a School Sport Australia state or national championships.

Community Sport Clubs Grant Program
Brisbane City Council invites Brisbane's sport clubs to submit applications for the Community Sport Clubs Grant Program, which has been designed to help clubs to operate more sustainably.

Council encourages applications for projects that represent long-term, cost-effective value, and result in reductions to ongoing club costs or increased income avenues.

Given that community sporting clubs have differing needs and priorities in order to reduce operational costs, Council is offering three grant categories for applications:

1. Community facility upgrade.
2. Community facility maintenance.
3. Organisational development.

Caring for our Community Small Grants

Organisations are invited to apply for one-off funding of up to $5000 to purchase essential equipment to enhance service delivery to Queenslanders.

The aim of the Caring for our Community initiative is to assist community organisations and volunteer groups to purchase essential equipment to support Queensland communities.

The majority of grants will be up to $5000; a small number of grants between $5000 and $15,000 may be available depending on the needs of particular communities for specific projects and equipment.
