Max Pearce - Two Day Workshop 7 & 8 March 2015

Max is an EA/NCAS Level 2 Coach and Coach Educator. He is an EA carriage driving official (Judge, Technical Delegate and Course Designer). Max is the current chairman of the National Carriage Driving Committee and is a regular competitor at show driving and combined driving events.

Carriage Driving Queensland, through Warwick and District Carriage Driving Club Inc., is offering a seminar workshop weekend for carriage drivers, officials and potential officials on Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 March 2015 at „Strongfield Stud‟ Southbrook to tune up their understandings and skills. Workshop facilitator for the weekend is National Carriage Driving Chair, Max Pearce (see more about Max on the following page).


Content discussed over the weekend will relate to EA/FEI carriage driving (combined driving) and will include the technical aspects of competition carriage driving and training, a review of current FEI rule interpretations and what judges are looking for, understanding course design, driving safely and risk management at events. Carriage driving workshop will include:


- Developing a horse‟s mouth to improve performance in competition.
- Lunging and long reining.
- Dressage, cones and marathon driving.


The weekend will have a mix of group and individual sessions and each day will start at 8am. Fence sitters are welcome and Max will be using a wireless microphone
