2018 Sport Development Funding- Next Round Opens 12 June

To date this year, over $15,000 has been granted to clubs and sport committees to help fund rider clinics and judge/officials workshops throughout Queensland, including Brisbane, Toowoomba, Warwick, Cairns and the Whitsundays. This funding has enabled clubs to offer clinics to participants with both local, interstate and international coaches & officials such as Prue Barrett, Jock Paget, and Chris Chugg! EQ are pleased to be able to assist our hard-working clubs and committees with hosting these events, which provide an excellent opportunity for riders & officials from grassroots through to elite level to continue to improve their knowledge & skills.

Applications for Program 1, Round 2 will open 12th June. This is for clubs and sport committees running rider clinics in the dressage, jumping or eventing from July - December 2018.

In addition to the above funding, Equestrian Queensland will be introducing an additional new program by way of a subsidy to affiliated clubs and event organisers who can apply for a share of $10,000 in funding assistance, to improve safety and/or horse welfare at their club grounds through facility upgrades, contracting external suppliers to make improvements/grounds maintenance for events, or the purchase of new equipment. More details to follow prior to the scheduled release in June.
