Equestrian Australia Special General Meeting Outcome

Equestrian Australia held a Special General Meeting on 19/04/15, to consider a motion moved by ENSW to effectively ‘cease all action in relation to the introduction of any mandatory Hendra vaccination’.

EQ has been consistent in representing its membership interests on mandatory Hendra vaccination and subsequently seconded the motion.

While the motion had a split vote and did not receive the majority support from all the states branches required to be carried, it was the first time the two Hendra incident states unified on a motion regarding mandatory Hendra vaccination and all states unanimously agreed that revoking the bylaw was a good decision.
