NOTICE TO ALL JUMPING COMPETITORS

Equestrian Queensland, together with all States have a shared commitment to ensure that members are adhering to the sports rules.

It is important to us that the jumping arena remains a fair and even playing field for all.

As such State branches are conducting checks on all results and on an increased number of entries prior to events.

Unfortunately, they are a number of combinations who have been entering into classes for which they are not eligible.

Before attending any shows please ensure that;

  1. The rider and all owners have the current membership of the correct category
  2. The horse is registered and with a current jumping licence

Before entering classes please ensure the rider;

  1. Has a copy of the horses current jumping licence
  2. Is aware of the horses total jumping points
  3. Is aware of any other factors that may limit the horse’s eligibility for classes

Should a rider be found to have competed in a class for which the combination was ineligible they will forfeit any prizes won and the rider and owner may be issued with strict liability offences under section 19 of the EA disciplinary By-Laws.

If you are ever unsure of your horses grading points or eligibility please do not hesitate to contact the EQ office, our friendly staff are here to help. You can call us on (07) 3891 6611 or email [email protected]
