QSPORT AWARD FINALISTS

Aquis Champions Tour, Maria Schwennesen and Leesa Murray have been nominated for the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre sponsored 2018 Queensland Sport Awards and selected by the relevant Selection Panel as a contender in each of their categories of the overall Queensland Sport Awards program for this year.

The Awards are coordinated by QSport as the State Government recognised and supported industry peak body for the sport sector in Queensland to recognise the outstanding achievements of Queenslanders each year in sport. Nominations for the Awards are made by QSport member organisations which, in the main, are State sporting organisations.

This year’s 24^th annual Queensland Sport Awards  Presentation will take place on Wednesday evening, 28 November in the Plaza Ballroom at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This black-tie Queensland Sport “night of the year” is the biggest of its type in the country and in addition to the announcement and presentation of 12 Sport Award category winners, four outstanding Queensland sporting identities will be inducted into the Queensland Sport Hall of Fame and one of its Athlete Members already inducted will be elevated to Legend status as the 18^th Legend of Queensland Sport.
