The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) has generously awarded funding under the Racing Animal Welfare Grants program to Eventing Queensland for retired racehorses (thoroughbred or standardbred).

Eligible horses will be in the running to win additional prize money at each Qld Eventing Competition. Horses from EvQ60/65 up to 1 Star (1.05m) will be in the running.

Prizes awarded under the program will be $200 to the horse with the lowest penalties, $125 to the horse with the second lowest penalties and $75 to the horse with the third lowest penalties.

Winners will be awarded their cash prize after promoting QRIC via social media &/or a letter of appreciation to QRIC. Facebook QRIC Equine Welfare Program, #qric_ewp and @equinewelfareprogram 

To be eligible for the Eventing Qld OTT Rewarded:

1. Be maximum 4 years off the track from last official trial or race as of 1January 2020
   (previously 2 years but extended for 2021). Last trial or race date 31 December 2015.

2. Be EA Base Registered (no cost) for EvQ60/65 & EvA80 or Life Registered for EvA95 and above.

3. Provide official race name and microchip number.

4. You must confirm your entry for ‘Eventing Qld OTT Rewarded’ when nominating for each event.
