Beyond the Bridle is Equestrian Queensland’s platform, publication and online community dedicated to celebrating the people who make equestrian sport possible.
At its heart, Beyond the Bridle is about connection, understanding and belonging. Through our publication, social channels and dedicated Beyond the Bridle Facebook Group, we’re creating a space where EQ members can connect, share experiences, start meaningful conversations and celebrate the people and horses at the heart of our sport.
Beyond the Bridle shares stories by EQ members, for EQ members. Member-written features open the door to conversations about the experiences and topics that matter within our equestrian community, helping people feel heard, understood and connected.
We’ll also bring you exclusive insights from EQ’s international riders, sharing their stories, experiences, advice, tips and lessons from their journeys in equestrian sport.
But Beyond the Bridle isn’t only about those competing at the highest level. We want to shine a light on the incredible everyday people who make our sport possible — the riders, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents, committee members, event organisers, supporters and countless others who give their time, energy and passion to our equestrian community. Members can nominate someone deserving of recognition so we can share and celebrate their contribution.
And, of course, at the centre of everything we do are our horses. Beyond the Bridle celebrates the partnerships, personalities and stories behind the horses who bring us together and inspire our love of equestrian sport.
