2026 Donovan & Co Jumping Queensland State Titles Wrap Up

The 2026 Donovan & Co Jumping Queensland State Titles delivered an outstanding three days of competition, bringing together riders, horses, officials, and supporters at the Toowoomba Showgrounds.

Hosted by Jumping Queensland, this premier event once again showcased the depth of talent within Queensland’s showjumping community, with competition across multiple classes highlighting both emerging combinations and established combinations.

Across the weekend, riders demonstrated exceptional skill and horsemanship, with strong fields contesting classes from junior and young rider levels through to the senior state titles. The event provided a valuable platform for athletes to test themselves at state championship level, with many combinations producing consistent and competitive rounds across all three days.

The Junior Teams competition, held on the opening day, set the tone for the weekend, highlighting the importance of teamwork within the sport and providing a unique opportunity for developing riders to compete in a collaborative environment. Jumping Queensland extends its sincere thanks to each of the team sponsors and Chefs d’Équipe, whose support and leadership are integral to the success of this event. The contribution of sponsors ensures the ongoing viability and growth of team-based opportunities, while the Chefs d’Équipe play a vital role in guiding, mentoring, and supporting athletes, fostering communication, confidence, and a strong sense of team culture that is essential to the development of our riders.

The State Titles reinforced the strength and progression of showjumping in Queensland, with quality course design challenging riders while rewarding accuracy, rhythm, and strategic riding. Spectators were treated to exciting jump-offs, competitive finishes, and strong performances across all rings.

Events of this scale are made possible through the dedication of a passionate community. Jumping Queensland extends its sincere thanks to the jump judges, course designers, ring and gate stewards, volunteers, and organising committee whose efforts ensured the smooth delivery of the Championships.

Equestrian sport relies heavily on the support of valued partners, and the success of the 2026 Championships would not have been possible without the generous contribution of our sponsors. We extend our sincere appreciation to Donovan & Co as naming rights sponsor, along with all class and event sponsors, for their ongoing commitment to the sport. Their support plays a critical role in ensuring events of this scale remain viable in Queensland.  They enhance competition opportunities for our athletes, supporting event delivery, and contributing to the continued growth and sustainability of showjumping across the State.

A special thank you to the team behind the VIP area, whose efforts in creating a warm and welcoming space were greatly appreciated. The area provided both athletes and sponsors with front-row access to the excitement of the event, fostering an inclusive and engaging environment that enhanced the overall event experience.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the media team, who dedicated three full days to capturing video and imagery of the horses and athletes. Their work plays an important role in showcasing our sport, celebrating performances, and creating lasting memories for competitors and supporters alike. We encourage members to support the media team by engaging with and purchasing their content, recognising the time, effort, and professionalism that goes into documenting events of this scale.
