2026 Pryde’s EasiFeed National Qualifying Horse of the Year – Event Wrap
What a wonderful three days of competition at the 2026 Pryde’s EasiFeed Show Horse Queensland EQ Horse of the Year, held from 4–6 September at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre, Caboolture.
Queensland’s premier Show Horse event brought together an outstanding field of Child’s and Open Show Horses, Show Hunters and Riders, all competing for State honours and the opportunity to qualify for the Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships.
Thank you to Pryde’s EasiFeed
Show Horse Queensland extends our sincere appreciation to our Naming Rights Sponsor, Pryde’s EasiFeed.
Pryde’s EasiFeed has been a valued, long-standing supporter of Show Horse Queensland, and their continued commitment plays an important role in allowing us to deliver an event of this standard for our members and competitors. We are extremely grateful to once again have Pryde’s EasiFeed alongside us for our major event of the year.
We also extend a very big thank you to all of our 2026 class, award and event sponsors. The support of businesses and individuals across our Show Horse community is invaluable. We encourage our members to support the businesses that so generously support our sport.

Congratulations to our competitors
Across the three days we saw beautifully presented horses and ponies, excellent performances and some incredibly competitive classes.
Congratulations to every Champion, Reserve Champion and placegetter, and particularly to those combinations who secured their qualification to represent Queensland at the national championships.
While the ribbons and qualifications are important, HOTY represents much more than the results. To every owner, rider, parent, groom, trainer and supporter who contributed to getting a combination into the ring over the weekend, congratulations on being part of the 2026 event.
Thank you to our judges
We were privileged to welcome an experienced interstate panel of EA Accredited Show Horse Judges:
Melanie Skinner – New South Wales
Luke Docker – Western Australia
Peta McMinn – Tasmania
Sharon Greenhill – Victoria
Catherine Neill – Victoria
Jane Paroissien – Tasmania
Thank you to each of our judges for giving their time and expertise and for the professionalism with which they undertook their appointments throughout the Championships.
It takes a team
An event of this size simply does not happen without a significant amount of work both before and during the Championships.
Our sincere thanks go to the Show Horse Queensland Committee and everyone who stepped in over the three days to keep the event running.
There are many jobs that happen well before the first horse enters the arena and many more that continue after the final presentation. To everyone who contributed, whether your role was highly visible or behind the scenes, thank you.
And finally - thank you to our Show Horse community
Most importantly, thank you to our competitors, owners, families and supporters.
It was wonderful to see our Show Horse community come together for three days celebrating some of Queensland’s best horses, ponies and riders.
To those who are now heading to the Australasian Championships representing Queensland, we wish you every success and look forward to cheering on the Queensland team.
For everyone else, we hope you travelled home with some great memories, new goals and plenty to look forward to in the coming season.
From everyone at Show Horse Queensland and Equestrian Queensland – thank you for being part of the 2026 Pryde’s EasiFeed National Qualifying Horse of the Year.
