Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2025: Thank You to Our Volunteers
This National Volunteer Week, Equestrian Queensland (EQ) celebrated the dedicated people who make equestrian sport possible. Volunteers are the heart of our community - from pencillers and stewards to event organisers and committee members. Their commitment ensures events run smoothly and the sport continues to thrive.
This past week, we’ve taken the opportunity to shine a spotlight on some of the incredible volunteers across Queensland—Angela Arkadeiff, Mary-Anne Grant, Carole Lyall, Gregory Brown, Kym Dawes, and Karen Flanagan. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the many other volunteers who may not be in the spotlight but continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes, making activities and opportunities possible for grass roots riders and beyond.
Volunteer Prize - Mastery Of The Horse Double Pass Giveaway
A prize draw was held for those Volunteers who qualified to apply for a volunteer pin as well as those that have attended Club/EQ volunteer training this year. Congratulations to Stevie Tognolini from far north Queensland, who was the winner of a double pass to Mastery of the Horse in June 2025!
PRARG Volunteer Workshop
PRARG in conjunction with EQ hosted a Tablet Pencilling Workshop on 25 May, where volunteers learned new skills and practiced on live tests - thanks also to the riders who took part.
Whether it’s once a year or every weekend, there’s a role for everyone.
