EQ LogoEquestrian Queensland is a member based not-for-profit sporting organisation which administers, through its Board, seven (7) equestrian sports, including the three Olympic disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping together with carriage driving, show horse, vaulting and interschool.  The various sport committees are responsible for the ongoing development, technical education and management of their respective sport.

Equestrian Queensland has over 3000 members, individuals and groups.

Equestrian Queensland employs two permanent and 3 part-time staff members. 

The vision of Equestrian Queensland is to be an organisation that the equestrian community wish to be a part of. 

The CEO of Equestrian Queensland is responsible for promoting the interests of equestrian sport throughout Queensland and working with the volunteer Board to realise the strategic goals of the organisation.

The CEO is responsible for delivering the strategic priorities of Equestrian Queensland and the Board; leading a small, dedicated team in servicing the sport and overseeing the day to day management of the organisation.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a successful track record in managing similar sized organisations with a focus on effective governance, innovative thinking, managing complex stakeholder relationships and promoting the sport to both the public and private sectors.
