Edwards Saddleworld Leg Up Bursary to Support Queensland’s Future Equestrian Talent
Equestrian Queensland is proud to support the 2026 Edwards Saddleworld Leg Up Bursary, an exciting initiative designed to invest in the future of young equestrian athletes across the state.
With a current bursary value estimated at more than $20,000, the initiative aims to recognise and reward student riders who demonstrate passion, perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication both in and out of the saddle. The bursary was established to celebrate the commitment required to balance school, training, competition, and horse care, while also encouraging the values that sit at the heart of equestrian sport. Rather than focusing solely on competition results, the bursary seeks to highlight riders who embody growth, effort, horsemanship, and a genuine love for the sport.
The Edwards Saddleworld Leg Up Bursary represents an opportunity to support one exceptional young rider as they continue striving towards their goals and proudly represent the Queensland equestrian community. It also reflects a commitment to giving back to a sport and community that continues to inspire riders throughout the state.
