Entertainment - not just an event!

The Aquis Showjumping Classic, run at Elysian Fields, Canungra in April, was an event we are sure no one will forget in a hurry.

The two-week competition saw 280 competitors from all over Australia and New Zealand converged on the idyllic setting with over 650 horses to compete across 70 classes for a massive combined prize pool of over $125,000.

Spectators too, flocked to the grounds to watch 25 of Australia's best battle for a share of $45,000 and the title of Grand Prix Champion. With only two riders to jump clean in both rounds, it was Rhys Stones and OAKS ALTADOR who emerged victorious by less than four seconds.

Equestrian Queensland would like to thank and congratulate Michael and Kelly King, Michelle and Peter McMahon and their team of hard-working volunteers, who pulled this extremely successful event together in a short amount of time. This is certainly a tremendous achievement in itself.

We are sure everyone looks forward to seeing what the 2017 premium event will bring!
