Eventing Junior Rider Bursary

Eventing Qld along with Prydes Easifeed, WestVETS and Saddleworld Toowoomba are proud to bring to you the Eventing Qld Junior Rider Bursary. Three bursaries will be given out in 2018 to eligible applicants with the aim to help them with their training costs at the Development Group clinics. The bursaries are designed to help foster the development of junior riders by providing financial assistance. We aim to award this bursary to three aspiring young riders who show commitment, good sportsmanship, and respect for their equine partner.

The application for this bursary is free however riders need to be a current member of the Development Group.

  • The bursary will be awarded to riders between the age of 8-18yrs.
  • The rider needs to be a member of Equestrian Qld and reside in Qld.
  •  Three bursaries will be on offer – each at a value of $1000 per rider. This funding is for use at the Development Clinics only. The funding will be managed by the Eventing Qld treasurer. The funding is based on $250 per clinic for coaching costs – the $1000 will cover their coaching costs at the DG clinics for the duration of 2018. This funding will not cover the costs of camping and stabling at the clinics. Each rider will receive a sponsor polo shirt and cap to be worn at clinics and competitions.
  • If riders have attended the first DG clinic in Jan and are awarded the bursary they will be refunded their $250 coaching cost for that clinic.
