Public hearings conclude for the Parliamentary inquiry into the Hendra Virus vaccine and use by vet surgeons in Queensland

Equestrian Queensland presented at the parliamentary enquiry in Brisbane on Wednesday, reiterating its members pro-choice position on Hendra vaccination.  There were a number of presentations made by a range of stakeholders across six locations from Cairns to Jimboomba over the past four days.  All 289 submissions including Equestrian Queensland’s can be found here.

EQ also welcomes any moves to address adverse reactions from over-vaccination, including the announcement to extend the booster from 6 to 12 months.

EQ has confidence in the parliamentary inquiry and looks forward to the committee recommendations scheduled for August 22.
