Queensland Horse Welfare Forum

Equestrian Queensland in partnership with the Queensland Horse Industry Alliance Inc delivered a ‘Queensland Horse Welfare Forum’ at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Wednesday 26 February 2020.

Dr Roly Owers, Chief Executive Officer, World Horse Welfare presented ‘A Social Licence for Equestrian Sport’ which outlined the World Horse Welfare’s evolving understanding of equine welfare, introducing the concept of a social licence, providing some practical examples of what this means for horse sport and outlining some thoughts on key messages for horse sport. 

The forum was made possible through the generous support of Willinga Park, supporter of Dr Owers while he was here in Australia.
