Statewide Facilities Plan 2019-2028 - Survey Outcomes

Equestrian Queensland, in partnership with the Queensland Government and CPR Group, is preparing a Statewide Facilities Strategic Plan to identify and prioritise equestrian facility needs across Queensland for the next 10 years.

Recently clubs, associations and event committees from across Queensland and northern NSW were invited to complete our survey with reference to the Preferred Facility Standards to ensure their facility needs for the next 10 years are considered in the Equestrian Queensland Statewide Facilities Plan 2019-2028.

The survey outcomes have highlighted some emerging issues across the sport and identified the gaps between existing facilities and infrastructure compared against the Preferred Facility Standards which may have an impact on participation and facility demands.

'I very much look forward to the next step of this project which includes engaging and consulting with local government authorities over the coming months about the survey data collected to start prioritising projects and discuss funding opportunities' said Mr Briston Toft, Chief Executive Officer, Equestrian Queensland.

Equestrian Queensland is very grateful for the 110 clubs, associations and event organisers who participated in this important process to plan for future facility requirements for the sport and we appreciate the valuable input.
