2023 Queensland Country Jumping Championships Roma Show Wrap

This year the Roma Show jumping program incorporated the Queensland Country Jumping Championships for 2023.  The weather was perfect, the jumping spectacular and the competition fierce.

Well done to the Roma Show organisers, Jumping Queensland Sport Committee and all volunteers and officials who made the event so successful.

Winning the Qld Country Jumping Young Rider Class for 2023 was Cody Ticknell with his horse, Screwdriver. Well done to Cody and the following horse and rider combinations on their placings in this class:

1st Place: Cody Ticknell and Screwdriver

2nd Place: Fuschia Criss and Dual Diamond

3rd Place: Katelyn Staples and KC Spotabug

4th Place: Simone Sorrenson and Viva Blue

5th Place: Pip Wolstenholme and Laurelglen EC Garnett

Winning the Qld Country Jumping Championships in the 1.30m class (for horses under 40 pts) was Sammi Dernee and Laurel Glen Quintessence. Congratulations Sammi on an incredibly successful Championships and well done to the following placegetters in the class:

1st Place: Samantha Dernee and Laurel Glen Quintessence

2nd Place: Chris Tomkins and Maracas

3rd Place: Michael Short and Belle Phlynn Park Carmichael

4th Place: Jessie Smith and SPR Pardou

5th Place: Cody Ticknell and Conquest (IMP)

6th Place: David Finch and Promonition

Winning the Qld Country Senior Championship Class was Clem Smith with his talented horse, Oaks Conjuror. Well done on two incredible rounds Clem and well done to the following placegetters in the class:

2nd Place: Stuart Jenkins on Fairview Alicana

3rd place: Brock Everingham on Kannai

Winning the QLD State Country Amateur Rider Championship 1.15 cm class was TJ Madigan and La Chance. Well done to TJ (Thomas) and the following horse and rider combinations on their placings in this class:

1st Place: Thomas Madigan and La Chance

2nd Place: Lucy Hunkin and Kinordy Garcia

3rd Place: Thomas Madigan and It's High Cotton

4th Place: Linda Croobe and Kentucky Fancy Diva

5th Place: Kylie Zabel and Dusty Girl

The winner of the Qld Country Jumping championship 1.10 m class (horses under 16 pts) was Sammi Dernee on board Glenara Leonardo Z.

The winner of the Qld State Country Childrens Championship class was Annalise Cooper-Morgan and PP Masterclass.

The winner of the 2023 Qld Country Junior Championship 1.20m class was Simone Sorrenson and Yalambis Karajini.
