Statewide Facilities Plan 2019-2028 - Preferred Facility Standards
To ensure that all equestrian facility needs for the next 10 years are considered in the Equestrian Queensland Statewide Facilities Plan 2019 - 2028, Equestrian Queensland, CPR Group and our Sport Committees have worked together to document our preferred facility standards.
The preferred facility standards define the facility requirements that are ideal for hosting events across four tiers, from International to Regional levels along with a base level requirement for all facilities. The facility standard requirements also provide improvement goals for clubs and facility owners and clarify expectations for event organisers, members and competitors.
Affiliates and event organisers will be invited to complete a short survey from 1 April 2019, to identify where the facilities they use sit within the preferred facility standards framework.
This information will be included in the plan that will enable Equestrian Queensland to provide support in achieving facility development and event hosting goals. The information will also assist with efforts to secure government grant funding when available so it is vital that your club, association or event participates in this planning process.
Affiliates and event organisers will have an opportunity to identify the improvements that are most needed at the facilities they use, and demonstrate steps that have already been taken to progress these improvements. Projects which are in line with the preferred facility standards and compliment the statewide facility network will be prioritised within the Statewide Facility Plan.
Prioritised projects will be highlighted to funding providers which will improve the likelihood of attracting funding, including local, state and federal government grants for those who are eligible.
