Vaulting judges seminar

Australian vaulting judges Angie Deeks and Darryn Fedrick attended the annual FEI seminar for judges and coaches which was held in Stow-on-the-Wold, Great Britain (a lovely part of the country but a big shock going from the Australian summer to the English winter!) from 12-14 February. The seminar was led by John Eccles and Doris Knotter, and this year focussed on the artistic score including what would define a 10 in each category of the artistic score, discussion around a possible percentage change in the artistic score for 2017, and a review of the music interpretation (C4) category and guidelines.

Angie Deeks is a current Level 3 FEI Vaulting Judge and Darryn Fedrick is a current Level 2 FEI Vaulting Judge. We look forward to getting valuable feedback from both Angie and Darryn about their time at the seminar, and putting this into practice with Queensland vaulters.

Vaulting News have also written an article about this seminar, including some information about the abbreviations on score sheets. If you are interested in finding out what these abbreviations mean, read the article HERE.
