2017 Qld State Vaulting Championships – Wrap Up

The 2017 Qld State Vaulting Championships was held at Arundel Park RDA on the Gold Coast  on the weekend 8-9 July.

The two days of competition saw a good turn-out from all our Qld & Northern NSW clubs. We also welcomed two interstate judges, Janet Leadbeater, SA and Jenny Scott, NSW joining local judge Angie Deeks.

Over the weekend, the organising committee saw great team work from all involved. Our organising committee, would like to acknowledge the wide range of volunteers that provided tremendous support to our event.   We are very grateful to all the officials, coaches, lungers, vaulters and families who worked tirelessly to share all the duties involved in running a successful event.  Big thanks to Jackie Andrews, as Event Manager assisted by Tesse Ferguson for keeping everything running smoothly.  We also enjoyed great facilities including canteen food and refreshments throughout the weekend, provided by Arundel Park RDA.  Big thank you to Anita & Leone and all the RDA volunteer team for your special home-made treats and wonderful hospitality.

Congratulations to all the Club Vaulters, Lungers, and Horses who competed.  It was so exciting to see so many dedicated and skilful young vaulters from different clubs competing together with support from both family, and each other.  It was impressive to see some of our more experienced vaulters training new horses in the development class.
