EQ Facility and Equipment Subsidy

Equestrian Queensland is committed to investing in the sport and improving services for our members. Rider safety and horse welfare are key priorities.

We will be purchasing ground preparation equipment in the near future, which will be available on loan to affiliated clubs and event organisers.

For those clubs and event organisers who are not able to access this equipment, which will be based in South-East Queensland, we are pleased to announce today a new subsidy program.

There will be a total of $10,000 available through this program toward contracting external suppliers to improve grounds and surfaces for events. Submissions will be assessed in consultation with the relevant Equestrian Queensland sport committees.
Applications close on 24 July 2018. Application forms are available HERE

The new subsidy program is in addition to the six existing sports development funding programs which can be found HERE.

There have also been some recent changes in the management of the International Competition Development Funding (ICDF) which mean Queensland event organisers will now apply through EQ for these funds to assist them with the increasing costs of running international events for our members.   Applications are currently open and close on Monday 25 June 2018.

Other funding sources to consider for your projects include:

  • Get Going Clubs – provides funding support to local and regional clubs with a one-off grant of up to $7,500 towards projects which improve club capabilities (closes 29 June)
  • Get Playing Places and Spaces-  provides funding of up to $150,000 (clubs must contribute at least 20% to the cost of the project) to assist with infrastructure development to encourage participation in sport and active recreation.  The next round (Round 7) opens 2 July, and closes 31 August, 18.
