EQ Position - Junior Sport Development Officer - Casual

Equestrian Queensland is calling for applications for a motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual to join the EQ team in a casual role as a Junior Sport Development Officer 14 - 21 hours per week. 

This position requires the applicant to have an outgoing personality with a commitment to customer service.

This is a varied role in a friendly and team orientated environment. We are looking for a junior who shows initiative, maturity and is proactive.

 ORGANISATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Equestrian Queensland (EQ) exists to promote, grow and develop equestrian sports in Queensland and has more than 300 affiliated clubs/schools/show societies throughout the state.

EQ internal structure includes seven (7) Equestrian Sport Committees; Dressage, Eventing, Showjumping, Carriage Driving, Show Horse, Interschool and Vaulting.

This position is based at the organisations office in Milton QLD.   

PURPOSE
The position of Junior Sport Development Officer is to provide support to the EQ administration team, in relation to the effective and efficient operation of Equestrian Queensland Inc, particularly in relation to administrative functional pertaining to membership services delivery.

DUTIES

  • Point of contact, answering & filtering incoming calls
  • To process memberships, club and school applications as well as horse registrations - renewals, new registrations, leases and transfers
  • Event entry checks
  • Assisting with competition and leaderboard results which includes data entry
  • Other administration functions as and when required

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Be computer literate and have a high level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have knowledge of office procedures and administration.
  • Essential to be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Equestrian background is favourable but not essential

The Sporting Organisations Award 2020 Grade 1 classification applies.  Current Drivers Licence and own transport is essential.
