Jane Harms - Director of Equestrian Queensland

Jane Harms has always had a passion for horses and has been actively involved in the sport as a parent, a volunteer with Pony Club, Show Horse and currently as a volunteer with Interschool and junior Show Jumping.  

Jane brings to the Equestrian Queensland Board vast experience with high performance and elite sport programs.  In 1992, Jane represented Australia at the Barcelona Olympics as a member of the Australian Track and Field Team and the Australian Women’s 100m Relay Team. 

Having worked in a range of roles with commercial entities, sport organisations and the not for profit sector, along with assisting with the operations of the family business, Jane will support the future success of Equestrian Queensland through her balanced and considered approach gained through various voluntary roles and professional experience.

As the proud mother of four daughters who have a love for horses, Jane is passionate about grass roots equestrian activities and is committed to ensuring effective management across all levels of Equestrian Queensland.
