Updating Constitutions Workshop
Did you know… that in June 2007 sweeping changes to the Incorporated Associations Act meant that every organisation with a constitution developed before 2007 should have reviewed their constitution and adopted a new one?

- Don’t know where to start?
- Having trouble agreeing on changes, or understanding the impact the changes will have?
- Don’t know how to support clubs to update their constitutions in a simple, clear way?
Here is your chance to resolve all of these problems in one 3-hour workshop! In most cases, you’ll be able to walk out with ~90% of your new Constitution done.
This workshop is specifically tailored for Sport and Recreation Clubs and Regional Associations. Simply bring a copy of your old constitution and we will review it during the workshop, discussing the options for your group to consider in a step by step guide. We will discuss what amendments will mean in practice and give you the confidence and knowledge you’ll need to explain it to others. You’ll also be shown, step by step, how to ensure the new rules are properly adopted and we’ll even help to complete the paperwork necessary to advise the changes to Office of Fair Trading.
Attendance at the workshop includes the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like and have access to advice via email or phone after the workshop for any tricky questions. We encourage organisations to bring at least two representatives to get the most out of the workshop.
