2014 Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships

The 2014 Show Horse & Rider Championships have now concluded.   Congratulations to everyone who competed, you all did Queensland proud.  The classes were extremely strong and all of our riders did a fantastic job representing our state at this prestigious event! 

Congratulations must go to the following Queenslanders :-

Charlie Thorne riding Xanadu of Sefton (owned by Karen Shaw) in the Leading Rein Pony ne 12hh taking out the Championship

Tyler Harris riding her own Lals Haven Prim in the Medium Pony Championship over 12hh & ne 13hh- taking out the Championship

Jemma Heran with Go Dutch taking reserve champion in the Intermediate Rider 16-17 years class, and Phil Bobic with Bordershow Centrefold (owned by Sarah Young) coming third in the Small Galloway over 14hh ne 14.2hh. 

Riley Kent on Sarah Ryan's Dicavalli Royal Gianni for placing Reserve Champion in the Intermediate Rider 13-15 years, Paul Austin on his own Marquise for coming 3rd in the Small Hack, and again Paul Austin, this time on Mackenzie Boundy's Pandemonium in Poetry for Reserve Champion in the Large Hack. 

Queensland also took out the 4th place in State Teams. 

We hope everyone arrived home safe and sound and wish you all a Merry Christmas and you and your ponies all deserve a well earned rest.
