Equestrian Queensland COVID-19 Update

Further to the announcement by the Queensland Premier earlier today, Equestrian Queensland (EQ) provides the below advice to members and affiliates located in the affected Local Government Areas:

  • Lockdown restrictions in the Brisbane and Moreton Bay Local Government Areas (LGAs) have been extended until 6:00pm Saturday, 3 July 2021.
     
  • Any EQ affiliated events or organised activities scheduled in the Brisbane and Moreton Bay LGAs between 6:00pm Friday, 2 July and 6:00pm Saturday, 3 July 2021 are to be suspended.
     
  • Face masks and restrictions continue to apply to anyone who has been in South East Queensland, Townsville, Magnetic Island or Palm Island since 1:00am Tuesday 29 June 2021.
     
  • You can only have two (2) visitors to your residence (excluding volunteers and workers) for South East Queensland, Townsville, Magnetic Island or Palm Island and 100 people for the remainder of Queensland.
     
  • In Brisbane and Moreton Bay LGAs, you can exercise away from your home with your household group and/or one (1) other person not from your household.
     
  • In Brisbane and Moreton Bay LGAs, you may travel to care for your horse/s, including food, water, exercise, veterinary, farrier, agistment, spelling, transfer of ownerships whist complying with all QLD Health directives.
     
  • In Brisbane and Moreton bay LGAs, coaches may travel to conduct lessons in accordance with all government restrictions, social distancing, hygiene requirements.
