EQUESTRIAN QUEENSLAND WELCOMES NEW DIRECTORS TO THE BOARD

Equestrian Queensland is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Harms and Naomi (Lockhart) Lane as Directors to the Board of Equestrian Queensland.  Jane and Naomi have been appointed to fill the casual vacancies that were not filled as part of the Equestrian Queensland Annual General Meeting held on 18 March 2020.

Jane Harms joins the Equestrian Queensland Board with a passion for horses and active involvement in the sport as a parent, a volunteer with Pony Club, Show Horse and currently as a volunteer with Interschool and junior Show Jumping activities . Jane has vast experience with high performance and elite sport programs and in 1992 Jane represented Australia at the Barcelona Olympics as a member of the Australian Track and Field Team and the Australian Women’s 100m relay Team. 

Naomi Lane joins the Equestrian Queensland Board with proven experience in strategy and planning. Naomi has been an active member on several riding, breeding and organisational committees and has over 33 years’ experience as a Police Officer and a Senior and Principal Investigator in both the Northern Territory and Queensland.

‘We are incredibly fortunate to have two outstanding members with significant experience in high performance and strategy joining the highly credentialed team on the Board who will provide invaluable contributions to Equestrian Queensland’ said Equestrian Queensland Chair, David Finch.

‘At this time, the Board is focusing on supporting members, affiliates and event organisers while activity restrictions are in place and developing plans for when restrictions are eased and competitions can resume’ said Mr Finch.
