IQ Committee Update

Following several years of dedicated serviced, Tracey Vardy has formally resigned from her position as Chair of Interschool Qld (IQ), after accepting a position with Equestrian Australia as Development Officer for Junior Participation (Ready Set Trot).

Tracey had informed the committee of her intention to step down as Chair at the AGM in March 2016, but her commencement in the new role has accelerated the transition. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the incumbent EQ administrator of the year for her continued dedication to junior sport and wish Tracey all the best in her new role. Undoubtedly many of you will still see Tracey around as she will be present at many junior events in her new role!

Tracey Sexton will be stepping into the role of Chair until the AGM in March.

Paul Charlton has also stepped down from his role as Eventing and CT convenor. Many thanks to Paul for all of his hard work over the years- organising the Eventing and CT State Championships is no easy feat, and Paul has done a fantastic job of coordinating this each year. The role of Eventing and CT convenor has been filled by Monique Searle.

We would like to wish the outgoing committee members all the best in their future endeavours, and welcome the incoming committee members into their new roles.

There are several committee vacancies (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Showman Convenor) to be filled at the next AGM. If you would like further information about these roles please contact the current person in that role or Christine at the EQ office on 3891 6611 or [email protected]
