Next Gen First Meeting
The Equestrian Queensland (EQ) Next Generation Advisory Group (Next Gen) met for the first time last Wednesday in person at Sports House Milton and via Zoom
The Next Gen committee consists of the following members;

- Daisy Fielding
- Georgia Thurgate
- Grace Beatty
- Lucy Peacey
- Lydia Forde
- Olivia Farrell
- Olivia Middleton
- Talia Criss
- Sara-Jane Seery (mentor)
The Next Gen members were asked to consider the following questions ahead of the meeting;

If I could change one thing in the sport what would it be and why?

What could the sport look and feel like for members in 5 years and how could this be achieved?

How can members support junior/youth/new members in the sport?
These questions generated exciting discussion regarding the future of Equestrian Sport and the Next Gen's imput will be utilised towards strategic planning for 2022-2025.
In the next 2 months, the EQ Next Gen will meet with the EQ Board to progress their initiatives to support Juniors and Young Riders across multiple pathways.
