Equestrian Queensland 2019 Annual General Meeting

The Equestrian Queensland 2019 Annual General Meeting was held at Sports House, Milton on Wednesday 18 March, 2020. 

The business of the meeting included the presentation and adoption of the full 2019 Equestrian Queensland Annual Report which included the audited financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2019.   

Equestrian Queensland Chair, Mr David Finch highlighted the achievements of Equestrian Queensland in delivering another year of membership growth and a consolidated financial surplus.  Mr Finch also acknowledged the difficult circumstances that clubs, affiliates and members are facing and recommitted Equestrian Queensland’s support for members as we navigate through this challenging period ahead.  

The AGM was immediately followed by the first meeting of the newly elected Board of Equestrian Queensland where the following appointments were made;  

David Finch – Chair

Corey Keable - Vice Chair

Susan Austin - Treasurer

Nicholas Ballard – Director

Jacqui Huppert - Director

The meeting also unanimously ratified the appointments on the Equestrian Queensland Sport Committees.  Due to the nominations received being less than the positions vacant, the following sport committees have casual vacancies and/or co-optee positions and Equestrian Queensland is now seeking Expressions of Interests from eligible members.

Interschool Queensland - one vacant position for a two year term

Show Horse Queensland - one vacant position for a three year term

Vaulting Queensland – two vacant positions for a three year term, two vacant position for a two year term and two co-optees positions for a one year term

Carriage Driving Queensland – two vacant positions for a two year term, two vacant positions for a one year term and two co-optees positions for a one year term
