Queenslander’s Triumph in Europe

Congratulations to Charlotte te and her connections who last weekend won the historic Montcuq FEI 3* in France.

This is the first time that an Australian owned horse has won an Individual CEI 3*  Endurance race in Europe.

Montcuq is known for its rugged and mountainous terrain, which makes the win even sweeter as Charlotte joins the special group of Australian bred horses with majors wins in Europe.

Charlotte te’s winning time was 10hrs 55 with the last phase averaging 25.km per hour. This victory was an extraordinary performance for Charlotte te. The owners Peter, Penny and Alexandra Toft are extremely proud of their mare. It was a career highlight for Franck, her rider on this occasion.

Charlotte, a 10 year old grey Arabian mare, was sent to Europe as a reserve for the Australian Team for the recent World Endurance Championships.

On arrival in England, in August she finished 11th at Euston Park with Queenslander and owner Penny Toft on board.

Previous International competitions for Charlotte include 19th at Normandy WEG 2014 and 5th in Taupo, New Zealand with Alexandra Toft.

Congratulations to Charlotte te, Peter, Penny and Alexandra.
