Show Horse of the Year - Wrap Up

The 2016 Pryde’s EasiFeed Show Horse of the Year was held at the Park Ridge Pony Club, Marsden, on 17 and 18 September 2016.

Despite mother nature’s attempt to dampen spirits with showers, the event was a great success with many competitors and spectators turning-up and camping-out to enjoying the two-day National Qualifying event, just outside of Brisbane.

The quality of show horse was exceptional, and it was evident all competitors had put a lot of time and hard work into preparations to compete with beautifully conformed, high quality, and graceful show horses.  Entertainment and atmosphere was provided with the fun choice of music selection by all competitors for their workout.

There were 18 national qualifying classes across Show Pony, Galloway and Hack, and three Shetland Pony classes included, although not qualifying events for nationals.

Saturday’s Classes were live streamed on Equestrian Queensland Facebook and YouTube, allowing friends and family that couldn’t make it to Park Ridge to watch their loved ones compete, and all fans of Show Horse some quality Saturday viewing.
