EOI for IQ Jumping Convenor

The Interschool Queensland committee are seeking expressions of interest for the position of Jumping Convenor to fill a casual vacancy on the committee.

If you would like to help promote the sport of interschool in Queensland, this could be a great opportunity for you! It is not necessary for the convenor to have children competing in interschool competitions, however this could be a position that is well suited to a parent who has the passion and commitment to help the committee to continue to grow the interschool program.

The Jumping Convenor should have a good understanding of, or be able to gain knowledge of, the EA and Interschool jumping rules. This role involves answering any discipline specific queries, organising the jumping competiiton at states, coordinating the selection of the jumping team for Interschool Nationals in conjunction with the IQ Committee, and ensuring that any changes to the EA Jumping rules are reflected in the IQ program and event programs.

The interschool program is multi-disciplinary with riders representing their schools in the disciplines of dressage, jumping, eventing, show horse, showman and combined training.

We would like to thank Janet Wilkinson for her support of interschool and her hard work while serving on the committee.

If you are interested in this position, or would like further information, please contact Susan Donald (IQ Secretary).
