The High Five

It's been an outstanding year for five high flying Queensland show jumpers!  

In February 2022, the year kicked off with a WIN for Queensland in the 2021 State Senior Competition at the Pryde's EasiFeed Australian Jumping Championships at Boneo Park with
Sam Overton riding Oaks Cassanova, Olivia Hamood riding Jane Fonda DVD, Billy Raymont riding Black Jack IXE and Clem Smith riding Oaks Conjuror (pictured below, photo credit: Australian Jumping).

They say "Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher", so there is no wonder Queenslanders are on a high!

Following on from the success earlier in the year, Equestrian Queensland and Jumping Queensland are pleased to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the following five very successful combinations  -

Achievements:
  • Winner of the Finch Farm FEI QLD Leading Jumping Horse & Rider
  • Winner of the 2022 FEI Jumping World Cup – Australian League
  • 2nd place at the Summer Showjumping Classic CSI-W Chatham Park Cup World Cup Qualifier
  • 4th place in the Senior Championship - The 2022 Pryde's EasiFeed Australian Championships
  • 1st place at the Tamworth World Cup Qualifier in August 2022 
  • 2nd place at the Waratah Sydney World Cup Qualifier in August 2022 
  • 2nd place at PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars World Cup Qualifier in March 2022

Achievements:
  • 2nd place overall - FEI Jumping World Cup – Australian League
  • 4th place at the Summer Showjumping Classic CSI-W Chatham Park Cup World Cup Qualifier
  • 1st place at Festival of Showjumping Caboolture World Cup in June 2022
  • 3rd place at NVSJC World Cup in March 2022 
  • 3rd place at PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars World Cup World Cup in March 2022  
  • Champions in the Senior Title at the 2021 Pryde's EasiFeed Australian Jumping Championships in February 2022

Achievements:
  • Winner of the 2022 Equestrian Queensland Annual Awards Pryde’s EasiFeed Horse of the Year
  • 1st place PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars World Cup in March 2022 and 6th place at NVSJC World Cup in March 2022
  • Black Jack IXE and Billy then travelled overseas where they competed successfully in America and Europe.
  • Represented Australia at the FEI World Championships which were held in Herning in Denmark.
  • Black Jack IXE started the competition well, finishing the first event with a clear round. At the conclusion of the competition, which was 3 separate events with their penalties accumulating over all the events, the pair finished in 76th place. A very credible finish against the best horse and rider combinations in the world.

 Achievements:
  • 1st place at the Fraser Coast Country Championships in the Queensland Country Senior Championships
  • 1st place in the Queensland State Jumping Championships -Senior Grand Prix at the 2022 Bundaberg Show
  • 2nd place in the Tamworth World Cup Qualifier

Achievements:
  • 3rd place in the Senior Championship - The 2022 Pryde's EasiFeed Australian Championships
  • 7th place in the World Cup Qualifier at the  2022 Festival of Showjumping & Caboolture FEI World Cup
  • 5th place in the Tamworth World Cup Qualifier

As a team, Queensland were recently WINNERS again in November in the State Senior Competition at the 2022 Pryde's EasiFeed Australian Jumping Championships at Boneo Park.  Winning with a total of 8 points was our Queensland Senior Team including Mattea Davidson riding Checkamour D, Olivia Hamood riding Jane Fonda DVD, Sam Overton riding Oaks Cassanova and Clem Smith riding Oaks Conjuror (pictured below).
