QLD Young Riders off to Europe

After many hours of discussions and consulting with key stakeholders, the 2016 RidersXOXO Queensland Dressage Young Rider Squad wishes to advise the dressage community that plans are underway for the Squad to visit Europe for a short training trip at the end of 2016!

The 2016 RidersXOXO Queensland Dressage Young Rider squad is a group of 12 elite dressage riders between the age of 15 and 21 based throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales. These riders have sacrificed their family time, friendships, other sports and ambitions to be able to train and compete in one of the most demanding, mentally challenging (according to many sports psychologists) sports in the world.

Many are reaching the peak of the Australian sport and are ready to be exposed to the best training and competitors in the world, most of which are in Europe.

They are willing to fundraise, in addition to their competition and study commitments, in order for them to get two short weeks at the end of 2016 with these leading trainers. The money will be used primarily for flights and some for lessons with the view to educating the future of the sport and bringing them back to Australia to continue to raise the standard.

All will be working long laborious hours on this trip in exchange for accommodation in order to maximise the funds towards lessons.

These are our future Olympians, potentially 2020 Tokyo candidates, and your support at this point in their career is crucial to their possible success on the international stage.

And, you'll be making 12 dreams come true.
