Eventing Queensland presents a clinic with Rod Brown

Eventing Queensland presents a clinic with Rod Brown, Olympian and EA NCAS Level 3 Coach.

Rod Brown has long been an influential player on the Australian showjumping scene.

As a rider, Rod has represented Australia at the Olympics, Nations Cup and World Equestrian Games.

As a coach, he has helped riders all over the country including being the Australian team coach for the 1990 WEG in Stockholm, and again at the 2010 WEG in Kentucky.

Rod, his wife Cathy and their daughter Jess are prominent players in the showjumping scene as riders, coaches, and breeders.  And Rod is coming to Queensland and you have a chance to learn from this master.

Rod uses exercises to get horses engaged, moving off the leg rather than controlling with the hands.  Flatwork is also important to Rod, getting the horse listening and responding to you on the flat, once that is established makes jumping a natural progression.

Rod’s Clinic is being brought to you by Eventing Queensland on 8 & 9 July 2015

Venue: Kelecyn Equestrian, 55 Lucas Road Tamborine

Cost: $80 for shared 1 ½ hour lessons are available for all EA members.
