The Cavaleira Equestrian Team Queensland – the Majestic Maroons have wrapped up an unforgettable 2026 Australian Interschool Championships, proudly representing Queensland in Werribee, Victoria alongside the best school-aged equestrian athletes from across Australia.

The Australian Interschool Championships are the pinnacle of the national Interschool pathway, bringing together riders who have qualified through their respective State programs to compete across Dressage, Eventing, Combined Training, Jumping and Show Horse.

Queensland’s riders produced some outstanding performances throughout the Championships, but one of the most special moments came away from the competition arenas, with Queensland winning the Team Spirit Award!

TEAM SPIRIT AWARD – QUEENSLAND!

The Majestic Maroons were officially recognised for their incredible team spirit, teamwork and support of one another throughout the Championships.

The Team Spirit Award recognises much more than results in the arena. It celebrates the qualities that make Interschool competition so special – riders supporting their teammates, proudly wearing their State colours, working together, volunteering, creating a positive team environment and demonstrating great sportsmanship throughout the event.

From cheering on the sidelines and supporting fellow competitors to the unmistakable sea of maroon around the grounds, Team Queensland embraced what it meant to compete as one team.

Winning this award is a wonderful reflection of every rider, parent, manager, volunteer and supporter who contributed to the Queensland team environment.

Congratulations, Majestic Maroons – this one belongs to all of you!
