IQ Handbook Updates

The IQ handbook for 2016 has been updated and is now available on the EQ website. Please ensure you read the handbook to check whether there have been any rule changes for your sport, however we would like to draw your attention to the following changes:

Prep Riders

Prep riders are now able to compete as Primary School riders within interschool, providing they are able to ride independently (off leading rein). This is an amendment to section 5.2 of the IQ Handbook.

Age restrictions still apply in Eventing, where the level riders may compete at is determined by their age, not their school year. Please see section 11 of the IQ Handbook for details of this rule.

Number of qualifiers required

The school regions and the number of qualifiers required for these regions have been amended. In addition to Central Qld, North Queensland and Far North Qld requiring a reduced number of qualifiers, the Darling Downs & South West and Wide Bay & Sunshine Coast regions have been divided according to the Education Qld sport regions and those in the South West and Wide Bay (excluding Sunshine Coast) regions will also have a reduction in the number of qualifiers required. For a list of sporting regions and schools click here
