2026 Central (Capricornia) Interschool Qld Regional Championships Event Wrap

The 2026 Central (Capricornia) Interschool Queensland Regional Championships wrapped up after three fantastic days of competition at the Yeppoon Pony Club grounds.

Running from Friday 17 February to Sunday 19 April, the event brought together 122 entries, featuring 34 riders and 47 horses from 20 schools. Competitors took part across the four disciplines of Dressage, Show Horse, Jumping, and Combined Training.

Throughout the event, riders demonstrated impressive horsemanship, strong sportsmanship, and a clear commitment to their teams and schools. From composed dressage performances to energetic jumping rounds, the Championships showcased the depth of talent within the Central region, as well as North and Far North Queensland, and highlighted the strength of the Interschool Queensland community.

Congratulations go to all riders, horses, schools, and teams who contributed to a successful and enjoyable event.

A sincere thank you to the Interschool Queensland Central (Capricornia) Sub-Committee for their organisation and dedication, along with our valued sponsors, hardworking volunteers, supportive families, and everyone behind the scenes. Events like this are made possible by the collective effort of a passionate equestrian community.

We also extend our congratulations to the Central Overall Champions and Reserve Champions in each discipline—an outstanding achievement that reflects dedication, skill, and strong partnerships.

The 2026 season is shaping up to be an exciting one, and we look forward to seeing many of these riders and horses continue throughout the Interschool Queensland calendar.
