2026 Edwards Saddleworld DD&SWQ IQ Regional Championships Event Wrap

What a weekend it was!

From 29–31 May 2026, the 2026 Edwards Saddleworld DD & SWQ Interschool Queensland Regional Championships brought together riders, horses, officials, volunteers and supporters for three fantastic days of competition.

Mother Nature certainly tested everyone early, with strong winds and relentless rain making for a challenging start to the event. Despite the horrendous weather conditions, the determination, resilience and positive spirit of our competitors, officials, volunteers and families ensured the championships continued successfully. It was wonderful to see everyone pull together, proving once again that the Interschool community is built on teamwork and perseverance.

Across the three-day championship:

• 123 riders
• 154 horses
• 284 competitive entries

Competition commenced on Monday with Show Horse and Combined Training, before riders returned for two exciting days of Dressage and Show Jumping, showcasing the incredible talent and sportsmanship of our DD & SWQ riders.

A heartfelt congratulations goes to every competitor who represented their schools with pride, supported their fellow riders and demonstrated outstanding horsemanship throughout the championships.
